Dear Ms. Weinbeck:

    This is in response to your letter dated April 15, 1997 
wherein you requested a list of protective headgear and eye-
protective devices maintained by the Department of Public 
Safety.

    The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the 
United States Department of Transportation has developed testing 
standards for protective headgear.  Based upon the existence of 
a federal program, no list is maintained by the Georgia 
Department of Public Safety.
